Arduino Data Video Overlay – Electronics Project QuickFire Challenge

Arduino Data Video Overlay – Electronics Project QuickFire Challenge

The QuickFire is rush to market challenge. Built a system that would perform data logging of temperature, sound, light, and accelerometer sensors using an Arduino Uno board to MicroSD card. The data would be combined with GPS data and represented visually using an overlay. It had to be completed in 48 hours. Thank you to the following folks: Jeremy Blum (http://www.jeremyblum.com), your tutorials were instrumental in making this possible. The folks at Arduino for the code, SD, SerialSoft, and the…

Arduino Light and Signal Control for the eBike

Arduino Light and Signal Control for the eBike

Abstract from Fall 2013 Term Paper Introduction One of the key safety aspects of any bicycle is its lighting. Several options are currently available for riders to choose from. At present, the lighting devices sold are small compact units that can attach to the bike or rider. Most are powered and controlled from internal circuitry. Because of this common design, these devices aren’t easily controlled. Lighting or signaling devices mounted out of reach of the rider are simply not controllable….

Electric Bike Boost Controller using the ATTiny85

Electric Bike Boost Controller using the ATTiny85

Abstract from Fall 2013 MidTerm Paper Introduction This paper covers the theory and practical use of a controller powered by an Atmel micro controller to operate a boost converter power driver used in an electric bike configuration. A typical electric bike setup has a single voltage source to drive the motor from a controller. This presents a limitation because the battery size will dictate how fast and far the electric bike can travel. With a fixed voltage, the battery size…
